In the 1970?s we used to have annual fixtures with Middlesborough RA and this was our team in 1977.  Some people might recognise Al Joblin, Jim FitzHenry, Alan Morton, Charlie Tracey, Neil Riddington, Jim Farrer et al

 David Taylor as a 14 year old young recruit in 1953 and he is still waering the same boots Former President Des Tweats.  Des was a Football League Assistant and once appeared at the Berabau Stadium in Madrid Graham Kelly  refereeing Junior Football in the Fylde.   Graham worked at the Football League  and went on to become the Chief Executive of the Football Association in London

As a FIFA referee 1971-72 Another good day at the office for Keith Walker, a member and FIFA referee who went on to become Secretary at Sheffield Wednesday.

About 50 aspiring referees enjoyed a Two-Day Referees Course  at AFA Blackpool.
